Sooooo I've been telling myself for how long now (???) that i need to continue blogging when i'm not in a foreign country... everyone is so far away and if i don't make some kind of effort to keep people updated, i'll wake up one day to find that I lead a very secluded life, known only to those that i encounter in my day to day.... in other words, UNACCEPTABLE. lol
Today is the day before thanksgiving AND I'M SOOOO EXCITED!!!! We all know that I am in love food, but I've come to the recent conclusion that I'm also in love with COOKING food and learning new ways/things to cook! Hence, I love Thanksgiving... the time when everyone gorges themselves. indeed.
This year, Jeff and I are going up to St. Louis to visit some of his family for thanksgiving. We're going to make mashed sweet potatoes (delicious!!!) and an apple-cranberry crumble. yummers.
It's currently pouring outside... which meant I got soaked getting to work this morning, BUT I WAS ON TIME!!!! (for once). I've started making my breakfast and then just taking it with me to eat when I get here. It works out well enough. Teddy (the cat) came out of his room this morning to watch me in the kitchen. He sat on the stairs and inspected everything I did..... unblinkingly. He's so funny. Sometimes, I get the impression that he's really intelligent. He gets this look on his face that gives me the impression there's a lot going on in his head.... but then he crawls into a backpack and gets stuck.....and i lose all faith in him..... *sigh*
anyhoo... jeff is coming around 5 today. can't wait!! then we're heading up to Largo with my roommate Annie and Carolyn's going to take us up to the airport tomorrow morning.
ahhhhhh i love traveling!!!! i really miss it :( My goal is to get to Japan this summer to visit Jamie. It should work out... just have to save the money...
